CivicsPass Privacy Policy

CivicsPass ("the app") is an independent study tool for the United States naturalization test.

What the app stores

• Study data — your practice results, question progress, selected state, and settings are stored only on your device (local storage). We have no servers that receive this data, no accounts, and no way to see it.
• Microphone & speech recognition — when you practice speaking answers, audio is processed by your device's built-in speech recognition to produce a transcript, which is compared to the official answers on your device. Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted by the app.

What the app does NOT do

• No analytics or tracking SDKs
• No advertising
• No account creation, email collection, or contact upload
• No sale or sharing of any data — we have nothing to sell or share

Purchases

Optional Pro upgrades are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We receive purchase receipts (not your payment details) solely to unlock features. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles payment data.

App updates

The app checks for over-the-air content updates (for example, refreshed officeholder data) through Expo Application Services. This request does not include personal information.

Children

CivicsPass is a study tool intended for adults preparing for the naturalization test. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
